"Building Your Preferred Future"
What is SFT?
While many therapies spend significant time investigating the "why" behind past problems, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is fundamentally different. It is a short-term, goal-directed approach that focuses on the present and the future. At mind360, we believe you already have the internal resources needed to change; our job is to help you find and use them.
How Does it Work at mind360?
SFT sessions are energetic and positive. We focus on small, actionable changes that lead to big shifts.
- The Miracle Question: We might ask, "If a miracle happened tonight and your problem was gone, what would your life look like tomorrow morning?" This helps us define your clear destination.
- Scaling Questions: We use 0–10 scales to track your progress and identify what you're already doing that keeps you at a 4 instead of a 3.
- Focus on Strengths: Instead of analyzing your weaknesses, we identify your "resilience toolbox"—the skills you've used to survive hard times in the past.
Who Can Benefit?
- Life Transitions: Adjusting to a new job, a move, or a new stage of life.
- Relationship "Stuckness": Finding immediate ways to change the dynamic at home.
- Workplace Stress & Burnout: Creating a concrete plan to regain balance.
- Specific Behavioural Goals: Quitting a habit or starting a new, healthy routine.
