Maurice St. Denis
Canadian Certified Counsellor
20 years supporting families through anxiety, depression & trauma. Collaborative, evidence-based approach.
Maurice brings 20 years of experience supporting families through life's toughest hurdles. His approach is wonderfully pragmatic and logical, yet fully supportive and sprinkled with informal humor. He's all about collaborative goal-setting to help you uncover your own resilience. Maurice is a master at guiding clients through complex life transitions, parenting support, and divorce or separation. His clinical focus also leans heavily into supporting children and youth through their many developmental stages and unique challenges, managing anxiety, depression, men's health issues, caregiver burnout, and vocational & post-secondary guidance.
Maurice has an extensive background in education, which has allowed him to support children and families both in the classroom, and through his role as a school counsellor. He has also worked closely with First Nations communities, providing culturally competent mental health care in many northern communities in Alberta.
